SBI utilizes a state of the art Toshiba Aplio Model SSA-700A.
This Ultrasound system is of the latest design. It has at it's heart a powerful computer that allows digital images to be viewed in a Dicom format.
With this capability, images can be transferred to the interpreting physician with great ease and diversity. These images may be copied on a CD format and viewed easily on the physician's desk top computer. This allows images to be viewed with all the original image quality and resolution.
Video clips may also be transferred along with color, so unlike images stored on "hard copy", such as the typical x-ray film, these images provide the added dimension of movement and color flow that are indispensable for some vascular and echocardiographic examinations.
With 720 channels of information, resolution is of the highest quality. Fifth generation tissue harmonics provides exquisite detail of the heart that has not been possible with previous ultrasound system designs.
The Aplio also has extremely "slow flow color capability" which is helpful in determining vascular activity in various low flow states.
Extremely portable, the Aplio can go where any wheelchair is able to go.
